Unboxed is FREE, fun and friendly!
Unboxed is a simple idea inspired by the play value of cardboard boxes! For five days, the Corn Exchange in Haddington will be transformed into a hive of activity as children's imagination, creativity and construction skills are put to use with an abundance of cardboard resources and simple making tools
The Choose Play team will be on hand to help you throughout the event. Like all Choose Play events,
A quieter, low-sensory space away from the hustle and bustle of the main hall will be available to anyone who needs it. If you would like to use it, simply let us know on the day. Look out for 'visual stories' about the event on our social media to share with children so they know what to expect.
The Corn Exchange is fully accessible.
ASN evening session: Thursday 16th January, 6pm – 8.30pm. This session is designed especially for families with children and teenagers with additional support needs. All members of the family are welcome to book in.
Quiet sessions: Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th , 9.30am to 11am. These sessions will have reduced numbers and a quieter atmosphere. They are designed to be fun and appealing to anyone who prefers a lower sensory environment. The quiet space will also be available.
Saturday 18th 11.15am - 1.15pm, 1.30pm - 3.30pm. Family sessions.
Sunday 19th 11.15am - 1.15pm, 1.30pm - 3.30pm. Family sessions.
Unboxed is free of charge but booking is recommended. Adults and children require a ticket. There may be some space available on the day at the discretion of the organisers.
Venue & Accessibility
This event will be held at Corn Exchange, Court Street, Haddington EH41 3DS.
- The Corn Exchange has recently been refurbished and we have added a technical infrastructure for the stage, sound and lighting especially for live performances.
- A selection of interval refreshments are available, and the town has several restaurants and bars.
- Located on Court Street, the main road through Haddington, there is free parking at the rear of the building.
- Access into the building is level, with accessible toilets inside.
