Pop-up Opera celebrates opera on a miniature scale with Gilbert & Sullivan comedies - A Little Bit of The Pirates of Penzance and A Little Bit of The Gondoliers.

Event Description

Brought to life by two singers, a narrator, instrumentalists and a beautiful set of illustrations, this summer Scottish Opera present a celebration of Gilbert & Sullivan comedies - A Little Bit of The Pirates of Penzance and A Little Bit of The Gondoliers.

Packed with screwball humour, memorable characters, and of course brilliant tongue-twisting tunes, these short operas are perfect for audiences of all ages.

This event will be held at Northesk Parish Church, North Bridge Street, Musselburgh EH21 6AG. 

  • Seating is unallocated.
  • Interval refreshments are served in the church hall, adjacent to the church.
  • There are 2 steps into the church with a ramp that can be placed over the steps.
  • There are level access toilets inside the church hall, accessed by going out of the church and into the adjoining hall.
  • Spaces for wheelchairs are at the side, front of the church.
  • Accessible parking is across the road, with designated parking bays on Ladywell Way.
  • Gracefield car park is behind The Brunton and there is also a car park on Ladywell Way.
