Through the Night with Henry Purcell.
Event Description
Join Nicholas Mulroy and a handful of Dunedin's outstanding string players for a gig that knits together some of Henry Purcell's greatest tunes with instrumental music by his contemporaries in London in the 1680s and 1690s. From beautiful love songs to infectious dances, this intimate concert will take you on a tour of Purcell's catalogue of hits that starts at sunset and runs all the way through till the morning.
Join us at 6.30pm for a half hour, pre-concert talk: In conversation with Nicholas Mulroy.

This event will be held at Northesk Parish Church, North Bridge Street, Musselburgh EH21 6AG.
- Seating is unallocated.
- Interval refreshments are served in the church hall, adjacent to the church.
- There are 2 steps into the church with a ramp that can be placed over the steps.
- There are level access toilets inside the church hall, accessed by going out of the church and into the adjoining hall.
- Spaces for wheelchairs are at the side, front of the church.
- Accessible parking is across the road, with designated parking bays on Ladywell Way.
- Gracefield car park is behind The Brunton and there is also a car park on Ladywell Way.
