Our lunchtime recitals include established and emerging, prizewinning performers with sparkling programmes of music, specially selected for you to enjoy.
Event Description
Relax at lunchtime in the beautiful Northesk Parish Church, Musselburgh. A light lunch of soup and a sandwich is served in the Church Hall adjacent to the church.
Classical music is for everyone to enjoy, no previous knowledge is needed to enjoy our concerts. If you can't make it for lunch, you are welcome to book for the concert only.

Schubert: Sonata in A major D664
Carl Vine: Five Bagatelles
Bortkievicz: 5 Preludes Op. 33
Chopin: Polonaise-Fantastie, Op. 61
Fabulous pieces of romantic music frame this programme. Schubert's piano sonatas take the listener on timeless musical journeys and Chopin's Polonaise-Fantasie is one of his last and greatest piano works making huge demands on the player and rewarding the audience with a spectacular conclusion to this concert.
'There was subtle beauty in the slow movement with a ravishingly beautiful sound and such subtle embellishments that made these jewels sparkle even more brightly.'
Lunch is served at 12pm.

This event will be held at Northesk Parish Church, North Bridge Street, Musselburgh EH21 6AG.
- Seating is unallocated.
- Interval refreshments are served in the church hall, adjacent to the church.
- There are 2 steps into the church with a ramp that can be placed over the steps.
- There are level access toilets inside the church hall, accessed by going out of the church and into the adjoining hall.
- Spaces for wheelchairs are at the side, front of the church.
- Accessible parking is across the road, with designated parking bays on Ladywell Way.
- Gracefield car park is behind The Brunton and there is also a car park on Ladywell Way.
