A Christmas Carol - panto in Musselburgh

Wed 18 Dec - Sat 04 Jan at 1:30pm / 5:00pm / 7:00pm Loretto Theatre The Brunton & Wonder Fools present a panto twist on the classic tale - in Musselburgh

Panto is a long-standing fun, festive tradition for our audiences, and this year we are delighted to be back with A Christmas Carol at both Loretto Theatre in Musselburgh and Corn Exchange in Haddington.

Meet Scrooge, Musselburgh’s grumpiest miser and proud owner of Scrooge's Speedy Cash, who’s in for a rude awakening when three mischievous ghosts turn up to ruin her silent night. With belly laughs, feel-good festive songs, and a hearty dose of Scottish Panto spirit, this isn’t just any Christmas tale - it’s a full-blown panto party that will leave you shouting, “Bah humbug!” all the way home.

Event Description

The Brunton and Wonder Fools present this exciting new pantomime set in East Lothian, inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas story. An entertaining, warm-hearted show filled with laughter, original songs, adventure and festive fun for all ages.

Our professional cast are joined by a talented chorus of local, young performers.

We are thrilled to be working with Robbie Gordon and Jack Nurse (Co-Artistic Directors of critically acclaimed Wonder Fools theatre company) who are writing and making our pantomime.

Robbie and Jack founded Wonder Fools on the belief that high-quality arts experiences should be for everyone, and they have taken their productions across the UK ever since, from Scotland’s main producing houses to town halls. They specialise in co-creation and centring communities in their work.
