At the beginning of March 2020 all youth theatre classes were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. For the last year we have delivered most of our classes online over Zoom however, I am very excited to announce our classes are BACK face to face.

East Lothian Youth Theatre offers young people aged 5-18, who are looking to explore their potential and develop their acting skills, the opportunity to participate in weekly drama sessions across East Lothian.

Our classes are designed to nurture creativity and talent through improvisation activities, characterisation, drama games, devising and much more, whilst adhering to the Scottish Government Guidelines. Participants will also have the opportunity to work with scrips and texts to build on performance skills.

Joining a group can have a positive impact on Health and Wellbeing by building self-confidence, making new friends, developing new skills, reducing social isolation and above all having fun.

All of our classes are led by experienced and qualified drama professionals who work as freelance performance artists and have a wealth of knowledge and talent.

Classes will begin from Wednesday 9 June 2021 and will run for 4 weeks.

Class sizes are limited due to Covid restrictions, we would advise booking as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch with Amy, our Development Officer of Dance and Drama, she is contactable at youththeatre@eastlothian.gov.uk

Please note, when booking online, the system will only display the start date of the class you select, but you will be booking the entre 4-week block.
